Abstract

This map shows the groundwater samples collected on the field in the Milk River Transboundary Aquifer region. The aquifer is bounded by the edge of the Disturbed Belt on the west, by the Cypress Hills on the northeast and the Bears Paw Mountains on the southeast. During the December 2012 and summer 2013, the samples were collected. During the first campaign, 17 groundwater samples were collected. All the samples were sent for 14C analysis, 16 samples for 3H analysis and 10 samples for 36Cl analysis. During summer 2013, 11 groundwater samples were collected; they were analyzed for 3H, 14C and 36Cl.
