Identification

Abstract

This dataset presents hydraulic properties (hydraulic conductivity, transmissivity, storage coefficient and specific storage coefficient) of some points in the Mirabel area. The study area located northwest of Montreal, includes four regional county municipalities: Argenteuil, Deux-Montagnes, Mirabel and Therese-De-Blainville. The hydraulic properties of the two main aquifer units (the mixed unit comprising highly fractured rocks and sand/gravel deposits, and the fractured rock unit) were estimated on the basis of in situ permeability tests, Lugeon constant-head injection tests, specific-capacity tests, and pumping tests.

The dataset comes from the data base nmgimconverti.mdb of the AFSOQ project archive folder. Table tblPompage (DEPART/DATE, FIN/DATE, DUR_ESSAI_POMPAGE, TYPE_ESSAI) was used for the start and end date of the pumping tests, length, method, and well identification. The pumping length expressed in hours was converted to days. Values and parameters were found in the tblParam table. Hydraulic conductivity values expressed in cm/s were converted in m/day.
